About the role

Alongside our branch business, Gulf Exchange runs payroll and payment services for companies operating in Qatar — including WPS-compliant salary processing. This role owns that side of the business development: finding companies that need a better payroll arrangement, understanding how they currently pay their staff, and bringing them across.

What you will do

Identify and approach companies in Qatar that process staff salaries, from small contractors to large employers.
Understand how a prospect currently runs payroll and where it costs them time or money, then put together a proposal that answers it.
Explain our WPS-compliant payroll and corporate payment services accurately, including what we do not do.
Work with operations and compliance to onboard a new corporate client, including the due diligence it requires.
Stay the point of contact after signing — the first few payroll runs are when a client decides whether they made the right call.
Keep your pipeline and activity recorded accurately, and report on it honestly.

What we are looking for

B2B sales experience in Qatar or the wider GCC, ideally in financial services, payroll, payments or business banking.
A track record of opening new accounts, not only servicing existing ones.
Working understanding of the Wage Protection System and what employers have to comply with.
Comfortable presenting to a finance manager or an owner and answering detailed questions on the spot.
Fluent English. Arabic is a strong advantage when dealing with local companies.
A valid Qatar driving licence, since this role involves visiting clients.

Helpful, not essential

An existing network among finance and HR teams in Qatar.
Experience selling into construction, hospitality or facilities management, where payroll volumes are high.
