Two prices, and why they differ
The buy price
What we pay you when you bring foreign notes to us and want Riyal in return. Always the lower of the two figures.
The sell price
What you pay us when you want foreign notes for your trip. Always the higher of the two. The gap between the two covers the cost of holding and handling physical cash.
Quoted per 100
Currencies with a small unit value, such as the Indian Rupee or Philippine Peso, are quoted per 100 units so the figure on the board stays readable.
Valid original identification, every time
Gulf Exchange is regulated by the Qatar Central Bank, so we verify identity on every transaction. Photocopies and photographs on a phone cannot be accepted.

Before you leave the counter
Please check the currency purchased, the amount, and your remaining cash balance before signing the voucher or leaving the branch. Gulf Exchange cannot accept discrepancy claims made at a later stage.
Currency sold will be bought back at the prevailing market rate. Where a transaction is returned or cancelled, whether on the same day or later, it is settled at the market rate in effect at that time, not the rate originally given.
