Bank transfer
Straight into a bank account in the destination country. The most common choice for regular transfers home, and available across the widest set of countries.
Cash pick-up
Collected in cash from a partner counter using a reference number. Useful where the person receiving the money does not hold a bank account.
Mobile wallet
Paid directly into a mobile money account. Available in a smaller set of countries, and growing as wallet providers expand.

Bring your ID
Your Qatar ID or passport. We are required to verify identity on every transfer.
Give the details
The full name of the person receiving the money, exactly as it appears on their own ID, plus their account or wallet number.
Check rate and fee
Both are confirmed on screen before anything is sent. Nothing is deducted that you have not seen.
Keep the reference
Every transfer carries a reference number. Keep the receipt and we can trace it at any point.

How long does a transfer take?
It depends on the destination and the method. Bank transfers to major corridors are usually credited quickly, while some countries take longer because of local banking hours and holidays. Our staff will tell you what to expect for your specific transfer before you send.
Can I track my transfer?
Yes. Every transfer has a reference number, and our team can trace where it is at any point. Bring your receipt or reference number to any branch, or call Customer Care.
What does it cost?
Fees vary by destination, by the method used, and by the amount being sent, so no single figure applies. Your exact fee is confirmed before you complete the transaction, at the counter or in the Gulf Exchange app.
Is my money safe?
Yes. Gulf Exchange is licensed and regulated by the Qatar Central Bank and certified to ISO 27001 for information security. We are required to verify identity on transfers, which is why we ask for your Qatar ID or passport.
